Grieving Reveries
FOFA’s Annual Undergraduate Student Exhibition (USE 2026)
FOFA Gallery , Montreal, Qc, juried exhibition
January - February 2026
Marie Khediguian participated in the 2026 FOFA Undergraduate Student Exhibition, grieving reveries, an interdepartmental exhibition highlighting selected undergraduate artists across Concordia’s Faculty of Fine Arts.
Khediguian’s work, Grieving in Three Acts (series consisting of Ara & Nairi, Between Then and Now and Failing Towards Brilliance), was presented in the gallery vitrines in the high traffic passageway in Concordia’s EV building. The series explores grief as a layered, nonlinear process, drawing on personal and inherited memory. Working through repetition, fragmentation, and subtle shifts in gesture, the vitrines functioned as an intimate archival space, inviting close looking and quiet contemplation.
Curated by María Andreína Escalona De Abreu, Grieving Reveries brought together works that reflect on loss, transformation, and the imaginative spaces that emerge in their wake. The exhibition foregrounded reverie not as escapism, but as a necessary site for processing personal and collective experience.
